trans-Art performance

In a 40-minute performance, Robert Christoph Bauer (composer and pianist from Graz) and Astrid Rieder (trans-Art, from Salzburg) will collaborate artistically and create a graphical composition (Zeichenkomposition). The pathway of communication is open both ways: The first keys of the e-piano are translated graphically onto a prepared wall in the studio; the pianist answers to what he sees and sends new sounds which, in turn, inspire the drawing process further. Different sounds and diverse soundscapes develop and unfold in connection to the graphic forms.... The audience witnesses the creation of a piece of art by two artists in deep communication. Their common situation and reciprocal inspiration creates a new dimension for the reception of the piece of art.
