COFFEE BREAK (1)
19.10.2002 - 20.10.2002
International Foundation Manifesta, Amsterdam / Nederland
Liverpool Biennial of Contemporary Art, Liverpool / United Kingdom
Launch of the Coffee Break in Liverpool as the first of a series of conferences that is organised as part of the IFM Network Programme. The Manifesta network is growing. For some time participants have been talking about the need to discuss the relation between Manifesta and the evolving practices in a radically crystallising political climate. The IFM Network has started with the first Coffeebreak to open a moment for reflection where we aim for the intensity of invention.
This first COFFEEBREAK is hosted by the Liverpool Biennial and chaired by Chris Dercon, as former Board Member of the IFM, with participation of all the partners of the Manifesta Network....
The Coffee Break model is conceptualised by Hans Ulrich-Obrist (former Manifesta 1 curator and Board Member 1997-2002).
